چکیده

This paper aims to design and implement speech recognition system with Discrete Wavelets transformation using Daubechies wavelets for analysis of continuous speech for similar sample sets. This work is based on analysis of Signals of Regional Dialects and finding similar pattern in the Regional Dialects of Demographic Region, which provides a highly reliable way for recognizing speech. The importance of speech signal lies in feature extracting ,Communications and categorization of speech based on important characteristic of signal. In this paper, a set of continueous speech of different speaker for the similar sample set is discussed. The system is able to recognize the speech waveform by translating the speech into a set of Dialects through wavelet transformation and analyses matching patterns. This paper contributes to find new and effective technique for analysing Signals Of Regional Dialects and how it will help in the current scenario of high performance computing. Keywords—Speech Recognition, continuos speech, High-performance Computing, Daubechies wavelets

A New Method for Speech Enhancement Based on Incoherent Model Learning in Wavelet Transform Domain

Quality of speech signal significantly reduces in the presence of environmental noise signals and leads to the imperfect performance of hearing aid devices, automatic speech recognition systems, and mobile phones. In this paper, the single channel speech enhancement of the corrupted signals by the additive noise signals is considered. A dictionary-based algorithm is proposed to train the speech...

A New Algorithm for Voice Activity Detection Based on Wavelet Packets (RESEARCH NOTE)

Speech constitutes much of the communicated information; most other perceived audio signals do not carry nearly as much information. Indeed, much of the non-speech signals maybe classified as ‘noise’ in human communication. The process of separating conversational speech and noise is termed voice activity detection (VAD). This paper describes a new approach to VAD which is based on the Wavelet ...

Speech Enhancement using Adaptive Data-Based Dictionary Learning

In this paper, a speech enhancement method based on sparse representation of data frames has been presented. Speech enhancement is one of the most applicable areas in different signal processing fields. The objective of a speech enhancement system is improvement of either intelligibility or quality of the speech signals. This process is carried out using the speech signal processing techniques ...

The Effects of Culture and Gender on the Recognition of Emotional Speech: Evidence from Persian Speakers Living in a Collectivist Society

This paper reports on a behavioral study that explores the role of culture and gender in the recognition of emotional speech in an under investigated cultural context (a collectivist society: i.e., Iran). Participants were asked to recognize the emotional prosody of a set of validated emotional vocal portrayals (including the five basic emotions). Findings of the experiment were then comp...

Use of Multifrequency Channel Decomposition for Speech Recognition

In speech recognition, recognition performance is usually affected by the confusing set in the vocabulary. One possible way to improve the discriminability is to decompose speech signal into multifrequency channels with different weights. In this paper, speech signal is decomposed into multiple spatial frequency channels using wavelet transform and filter banks, respectively. Speech signal in e...
